An unusual medical video:
In this week’s blog, I have a very unusual case. This time, I present a rare catch, and its not images; it is an ultrasound video of a few live roundworms making merry in the gall bladder. Roundworms are relatively larger among the parasites that infest the human body, and are known to migrate from one part of the body to the other via the various internal orifices. They make interesting viewing on ultrasound imaging. Roundworm infestation can have serious implications if not treated in time. They can cause anemia, malnutrition and even intestinal obstruction.
