Early mobility Scooters were small, front wheel drive models
designed primarily for indoor use, with little power and limited range.  Newer models of mobility scooters offer
greater range and the ability to traverse outdoor terrain.  Most mobility scooters have a range of
options, which include, three-wheeled mobility scooters, four-wheeled mobility
scooters and fold up mobility scooters.

The three-wheeled mobility scooters are the most
maneuverable.  They are ideal for riders
who must operate in tight spaces.  Their
high turning radius allows them to make turns most four-wheeled mobility
scooters can’t.

The four-wheeled Mobility scooters are designed for
stability and less for maneuverability. 
Not as good for tighter quarters but great for outdoor use.

The fold-up mobility scooter is designed to help individuals
take their mobility scooters with them on trips.  Other non-folding models may need the use of
a lift mechanism to travel.
