Farewell but not Forgotten

It has been almost a year since my last post here. Honestly I have been diverted by life, moves, illnesses, and relocation.

By chance I came to  trusted MD today and read that Dimitryi is entering a new season of life. Congrats Dimitryi !!  I will find you on Twitter and/or Facebook. I will still be hopelessly pontificating at Health Train Express, http://healthtrain.blogspot.com

For the past several months I have been focused on reviewing and reading many different blogs, and participating in a number of social networking blogs, both healthcare related and in other areas of interest.  My original blog topics on RHIO have been expanced to other areas, including public policy making, consumer activities, healthcare financing, and forecasting.  I use a weegee board and an old bottle I used to use for "spin the bottle"...It should be as accurate or more so, than the ideas today's pundits offer us.  Check these out at

The blog format is showing signs of its age although some of the content is excellent. I have not had time to write more than one blog. This will be my last posting here and I refer you to my other blog http://healthtrain.blogspot.com

I think one way of increasing readership and posts would be to let you know about some of the other relevant medical blogs that I read regularly.

Quality of care is a "hot button topic" for insurers and payors. This is not to say that providers don't care about their outcomes.  In the past there were surgical committees, tissue committees and peer review committees in hospitals.  With the relatively recent exodus to surgery centers the burden of review has shifted to different places.
