Poor Little Rich Girl Alicia Guastaferro

I'm speechless.  The episode is the Guastaferro-Boss families from the "reality" show (the quotes are for irony) called Wife Swap.

Yes, it is all scripted ...but the Guastaferros had to feel that it was ok to read the script.

You'll have to watch the video at the  Huffington Post. I was hustled over to HufPo by BoingBoing

It was two weeks of drama
for the Guastaferro family of Williamsvillle played out on national television. They were part of the ABC hit show Wife Swap. A show where two wives from different parts of the country and whose realities are completely different, switch places. The Guastaferro's watched it Wednesday night at a local restaurant with their family and friends. "Reality, thats what happened; thats the way it is. But as far as like doing home work, we may help, but thats a little blown out of proportion." said swapped wife Karen Guastaferro. "A lot of it is like prompted, where um they say like you might wanna say this or make this a little bit more brattier...which I really am a nice person and I'm really not that bad." said daughter Alicia.

It is pretty close to their reality but at times it was tough to watch. "It wasn't the greatest.." said Karen. Joel Maglich works for the Guastaferro family window tinting business. He was glad everyone saw who he works for. "My friends are texting me and and they are like wow and I'm like ya welcome to my world." said Maglich.

Some of it was a stretch, like the how the show portrayed the Guastaferro's as doing their daughters homework. "I really do my homework. The projects my mother helps but what child does not get help on their projects." said Alicia.

But the Guastaferro's really do have a Christmas tree up year round and gets a gift every day. "That is true. I do get a present every day." said Alicia. "But she's our only child. It's like she's wonderful. She brings A lot of life you know. It keeps us young." said her father Ralph Guastaferro.

Pageantry and "sparkle" as Karen says are really a part of their lives, and they want to keep it that way. Swapping with a feminist family like they did on the show, is not something they would want to make permanent. "There life was really dull. It was really boring. You know and I brought a lot of glitz and glamour. I felt at least the middle one liked it A lot." said Karen. "Life is not like that, life is beautiful. Ya it has it's tough times, but thats it." added Ralph.

Well i can't say that I know her...I didn't even watch the complete episode (I saw her when she was on the Tyra Show). From what I saw she is a really sad person and has a very sad life. She needs help...seriously.If she really thinks that good looks are all you need to get somewhere in life and her parents are not telling her otherwise she is in for a whole lot of disappointment in life and I pity her.I think of myself as a beautiful girl and I have thought of entering pageants myself but I know that beauty is not EVERYTHING in life and I won't let that define who I am and that is EXACTLY what she is doing and her parents are encouraging it.That's ridiculous...I know parents want their children to have things they want (my parents are the same way) but NORMAL parents usually give gifts as a reward for good things done and seriously...what good has she done OTHER than winning a few pageants which are more important to her than to anyone else in society? If they really want her to get ANYWHERE in life they should really change what they are doing because from what I'm seeing from them they really don't deserve to be parents.

i think it is absolute bullshit, that she gets what ever she wants and steps on any one on the way there. as well the parents dont do jack shit about it, the just get her present each day and buy her a brand new car that she cant even drive yet.

This 15 y/o girl didn't even know how to spell America!! If you really do know her and attend school with her, then I am now wondering if it isn't the schooling combined with the poor parenting skills. Your spelling and grammar are horrible. Maybe her parents should invest more money into her education than these pageants.

I have met that girl. She is exactly as the episode portrayed her. Within 5 minutes of meeting the dumb tw** she told us "being pretty is like better than being smart because when you're smart you still have do a lot for yourself." Boy, when reality hits it won't be pretty. Mom and Dad won't be there forever dummy to keep this fairytale alive for you

Okay, I didn't even watch the whole episode because it sucked, but I got the general idea from just 5 minutes of it: she is shallow, stupid, and--yes--will grow old. Not being able to do your own work isn't the equivalence of stupid--it's the equivalent of stupider than stupid. This girl is the epitome of everything that is wrong with kids.

Her and her very few friends are like that group in highschool who sits in the corner and everyone throws shit at and talks shit about but they cant and wont do anything about it. shes so fake inside and out and once her so called "beauty life" falls in the shitter and believe me it wont be long, shes too retarded to do anything else. i dont know how she lives with herself like that alicia you should kill yourself i hate you you fuckin pathetic bitch move your thunder theighs the fuck out of williamsville your not welcome here hahahahahahahahaha cunt

What a little stuck up brat. When I was in high school and college, my dad earned more than $2 million a year (through hard work long hours, emotional pitfalls, and more than a decade of post grad schooling), and do we/did we act like we are the top of society, better and more popular than others? HELL NO. My dad and I are both nerds, my mom gardens and takes care of our modest house. I played Halo pretty much every night of college. I think my Carhartt jacket is one of the most comfortable I've ever owned. My K-Mart jeans fit perfectly. How glamorous!! There's no need to put on some fake face to make yourself look successful to others. Ive seen their type plenty of times. The guy who makes a decent amount a year, buys the biggest house he can, the best cars, pampers his family, and acts like the king of whatever rust belt town he calls home.

The way they pamper her is embarrassing. I was provided a car, college, and a place to live. My dad said "after that, its nothing else until we die." And you know what? Here I am 2 years out of college with my own company. Id like to see her even begin to comprehend running a household... let alone a company or a career.
